Giving Up Personal Goals In Favor of Motherhood

posted on 13 February 2012

Eula just delivered her second baby this morning and this time, it is a boy for her and Jay. Jay, who is one of the junior sport psychologists in town, can't seem to contain his excitement. He can't believe that the Lord has granted them their wish to have a baby boy. Jay is so happy that he plans to throw a party where everyone is invited. Eula is also very grateful for such a beautiful blessing. Now, she can finally say that their family is complete because they now have a boy and a girl. She can't ask for more. In return, she made a promise that she will do everything to be a good mother to her children. As a matter of fact, she has decided to give up her career in favor of motherhood. She does not want to entrust her kids to other people. Jay was surprised to hear his wife's decision. He knows how much Eula loves her work and for her to give it all up for their family, is something worth acknowledging and appreciating.

Painting and miniature war gaming

posted on 27 January 2011

Miniature war gaming was originally created to allow people to reenact historical battles without the need for large amounts of people or for military exercise. Now there are many diffrent groups of miniature war gamers such as the historical gamers, sci fi gamers and the fantasy gamers. While historical gamers usually stick to war reenactments the scri fi gamers and fantasy gamers may reenact fictional battles but they usually use miniatures for gaming. Since the release of miniature war gaming games in the 20th century they have usually released miniatures unpainted. This has gave birth to miniature painting service, painting guides and video tutorials on how to paint your miniatures. The techniques used to paint a miniature to a high quality are always changing depending on whats popular in the community at the time. For instance green bases were deemed mandatory in the 90s but have now been replaced by brown and black bases which gained popularity in 2005. Also such techniques like dry brushing, highlighting and non-metallic metal have gained popularity lately leaving behind the painting styles of the 90's.

My New Year's Resolution Sees Me in a Bicycle Saddle

posted on 1 January 2011

So it's January the 1st 2011, and I have a very serious New Year's resolution - to cycle from John O'Groats to Lands End at some point in this year - or let's just say, to do the entire journey before this year is out. I'm currently overweight and totally out of shape. If I'm going to achieve this, I'm going to have to start from today and first of all, lose some weight while increasing my aerobic capacity through cycling. My dad bought me some long sleeve cycle jerseys so I already have some of the clothing I'll need. I realise I may not achieve this goal, but I'll certainly give it my best shot. I have enough money saved up, and don't need to work - so that's not going to be an excuse (money). I just need to plan the year ahead carefully and set a "go" date and then go for it.
