Conservation of natural resources starts with us

When it comes to conserving the energy and the resources in the planet, it all starts with someone as an individual. I am saying this because when it comes to the part of conservation of energy, people point fingers at each other and what they do not understand is that change starts with us. I am saying this because my mother and her friends started this to encourage other people to follow suit. They were activists and their latest project was the conservation of energy in the homes. They even lobbied for grants energy efficient homes. This was supposed to work like this: the home that would have used the best method to conserve energy would get the grant. This was the best approach they would have ever used because many people changed the way they used energy so just they can get the grant. There are those who used solar panels instead of electricity and others went as far as getting wind turbines. This approach was of positive reinforcement. The grant was the major reinforcer and the competition was the one thing that was fueling them.
